Editors’ Review
It works quickly, but you'll have to take it on faith that this Internet Explorer and Outlook Express password recovery demo can recover passwords. IEOERemainder's spreadsheet-style interface isn't impressive and suffers from poor grammar and oddly named columns. Despite the interface issues and the lack of a Help file, users shouldn't have too much trouble figuring out how to understand the data.
On program start, the interface quickly displays URLs, and account and login names. During our tests IEOERemainder found valid and deleted Outlook Express accounts and the vast majority of saved sites in Internet Explorer. However, the demoware doesn't display any passwords. Similar programs in this genre often display one or two characters as proof of process. You're not getting any proof with this utility. It's also missing a quick method to copy information to the clipboard or into a password dialog. An option to remove password information is also disabled in the demo.
This program is easy enough for novices, and if it can actually display passwords, it would be useful for any level user. We liked the program's speed, but can't recommend it until the demo gives a password hint or two.
