The administrative functions of the system support specification of who can and cannot use Inygma-Net and to what extent users can take advantage of the system's features. Security is provided via strong encryption using AES with 256-bit session keys, and the protocols used are described in the documentation supplied. The full system may be used for 150 days without charge to support as many users as desired, after which it is necessary to purchase a licence which can cost from as little as one pound sterling per day.

Excellent functionality with simple user interface.

Pros
Straightforward secure messaging and file transfer without the nuisance of pop-ups and spam. Trace feature to demonstrate the encryption. Good history and logging. Segregation of users into groups. Access to multiple (possibly connected) servers.
Cons
You can only encrypt one file at a time: it would be nice to specify multiple files. The text entry is very basic - there are no features for changing font, colour or style.
Summary
I tried out the product by installing three servers on my local machine (127.0.0.1 with ports 5001, 5002 and 5003). The standard installer assumes just one server which I suppose is reasonable for almost all users, so installing three required a little thought. I found that Inygma-Net did exactly what it said in the manual and my feeling is that it is a good (if somewhat basic product) providing more than adequate secure communications for businesses such as solicitors or accountants with a requirement to send confidential information across the internet. The feature that lets servers interconnect could be useful for businesses where some connection is desirable for clients of each. Multiple sessions allow conferencing, but you have to be quite careful with your choice of the "Send Text" and the "Send to All" buttons. There are many user options, one of the most important (in my view) being the abilty to hold received files in encrypted form so that loss of machine does not mean compromise of data (strangely, the manual does not make much of this feature). In all, the encrypt/decrypt functions seem to have been something of an after thought - they do not seem to be as well thought out as the rest of the product, and surely they should allow encryption of multiple files. There are a great many administrative functions all of which seem to do exactly what they are supposed to do, but I did wonder whether the "Download Log Files" function should give the opportunity to view the downloaded logs (you can do it via the File menu, but I thought this unnecessarily tedious). If you send a message to someone who's offline, the message gets held and is delivered if and when he logs on - an interesting feature is that you get an alert when this happens, and in particular if he deleted it without bothering to read it first! I was not entirely happy about the text input - it's ok, but there are no options for italics, underline, emboldening etc. If all you want to do is send a message this is ok but I think many users would want a little more. Overall I thought this was a very good product with potential to be an excellent product with a little more development work. I shall continue playing with it for my 150 days trial and see if I can make it crash - so far no luck on that score.
