Once installed HomeGuard will silently and automatically block all pornographic and inappropriate content online and record detailed website activity including time of visit and time spent on each website.

Plus a built in keylogger, activity based screenshots, chat and e-mail monitoring and filtering, program/games blocking and time restrictions, Internet and computer usage time restrictions, e-mail notifications and more. HomeGuard is virtually impossible to tamper with, it cannot be bypassed using proxy servers and is unclosable and uninstallable unless the administrative password (provided during installation) is used.

Pros
Very easy to use. Didn't slow down my Internet. This is keyword based so it doesn't need to query a database of blocked websites and I like that it can block only the pages with inappropriate content not the entire website..and you can add specific websites to a blocking or allow list.
Cons
Some false positives were blocked, but they can be easily added to the exception list in monitoring settings.
Summary
As with all downloads on this website CNET's installer will offer to install toolbars and other stuff...the original program's setup is, however, clean of any toolbars or adware.

- Quick installation and no configuration needed. - Very detailed monitoring logs. - Completely hidden...it doesn't show in task manager or control panel..
Cons
Make sure you use the "Direct download" link below the download button to avoid CNET's installer which adds uneeded stuff...

works okay so far. . .unclear if it will allow a time limit per day option.

download includes unwanted toolbar extensions. . .changes your search engine . . .etc. I had to spend about 30 minutes uninstalling all the junk that came with this program.

Blocks all adult content automatically. Too many monitoring features, probably more than the average parent needs. Unnoticeable and doesn't affect computer speed.
