  Pros

  HDD Guardian Portable shows extensive disk informations, it can also run or automate disk selftests. You can monitor disks health & temperature by a systray icon. It lets you adjust acoustic, energy & cache/readahead parameters as well as the monitoring mode & the smartctl tolerance for ATA/SMART errors. It shows drive hardware & smart capabilities and more!

  Cons

  HDD Guardian Portable has no problems with external drives, it gives you the same options as mentioned above for them, BUT to do so, you must RUN it AS ADMINISTRATOR.

  Summary

  HDD Guardian is the best disk monitoring/reporting freeware that I have tested so far. It's the first one that had no difficulties to recognize my USB drives (administrator mode). It is very thorough and gives many options and adjustments. You can translate it to your own language too, if you like!

  Pros

  This program goes well and show exact temperature and more info of my computer. It is FREE an PORTABLE no needs installation. There is an option to make the program reside in the tray to show at all times the right temperature.

  No cons at this moment.

  Summary

  There are many program of this kind, but you can tray this with my recommendations.
