Use this program to model civil and mechanical strucutures.
From the developer: "GBW32 v4.0 is a 32 bit Windows 95/98/NT Finite Element program that uses standard third order beam and truss elements to model a wide range of Civil and Mechanical structures. The graphical user interface is powerful and easy to use to quickly model a structure, apply loads and constraints, and analyze the model. GBW32 v4.0 supports release nodes for all loadings, batch analysis, auto analysis and undo/redo features Displacements, loads, stress information and animation are available to determine the effect of the applied loading and constraints. Models can be created within the graphical environment or imported as a DXF file. Models can be exported as a DXF file. Loads available include global loads and moments at nodes, global uniform loads, acceleration and angular velocity. Local element loads include trapezoidal loads, axial, torsion and moment and thermal local loads. Constraints or springs to ground can be applied in all 6 degrees of freedom. An on-line help file describes all aspects of the program with numerous examples and a How Do I... section."
