Extract all JPEG images from a PDF document or convert each page of a PDF document into images.

The Fusion PDF Image Extractor has two purposes:1. To extract all of the individual images from a PDF (to gather the images from brochures etc) (limited to JPG images so far)2. To extract all of the pages of a PDF as JPEG image representations of the original pageWe have released a zip file containing all of the program files and the source code to do with as you please. We have also released a windows installation image for anyone not comfortable handling zip files. The product is Open Source under the GPL license.We created the PDF Image Extractor after a painful experience trying to extract scanned images from a PDF financial report so that they could be put through an OCR process and then translated using Google docs. We therefore decided to bundle up the work we did and the small product we wrote as open source and release to all. It is written using C# and if you want to use the code it will work with the Visual Studio C# Express product which is free from Microsoft. Just add the included iTextSharp library to your project.

Was able to extract an image from a protected pdf without a hitch. Basically an easy to use front end for ghostscript.

Please disregard the required 'Star' rating in the heading; I couldn't submit without choosing, and since it didn't work for me, I had to choose one star; but I would have preferred to not rate this product in a 'star' ranking, for it very well must work for some folks. Can't say why this would not work after an apparent successful installation. I checked the Ghostscript option in order to convert the entire PDF flyer to an image. But the 'output' was blank and no file appeared in the destination folder. For those looking for this kind of utility, I have had 100% success with the tiny LotApps Free PDF To JPG Converter, also available from Cnet Downloads. Still, want to thank and commend the developers of Fusion, and all open-source, free, software developers for their great generosity in contributing such time and energy and sharing with the world their efforts!! This hearkens back to the wonderful early (commercial-free) days of the Internet, when one could be amazed at the kindness of people who freely shared their life efforts (in whatever area of expertise).

Workes great on a unprotected pdf havent tried a protected one. Used it on my year book pdf extracted all the pages "Pictures"
