With FTP programs, we want to get a lot of bang for our buck. Unfortunately, FTP Commander Pro comes with very few basic features, and its advanced offerings are limited to comparing and synchronizing local and remote directories. It also includes a basic FTP server. You are only allowed to transfer files one by one and work with one FTP site at a time. The program can't resume interrupted transfers, which is a big negative in our book. You can't browse FTP sites while downloading or uploading, either.

What's more, FTP Commander Pro doesn't support secure protocols or the ability to schedule sessions. While the interface is well designed and intuitive, we'd like to see a transfer queue and bookmarks. All in all, this is a middling FTP client that needs more features to stand out.

unsecure - no point using it.

Simple, works fine.
Cons
unsecure - leaves your website exposed to hacking. Basically the worst thing a product could do.
Summary
Once a read-up about FTP protocol I realized this product wouldn't be good. I uninstalled it, changed my passwords and moved on. I believe they have a paid version that offers secure transfers and based on the ease of use of the free version it might we worth a look. But FTP software is so basic, and I seldom even need it so I'm not willing to pay. I went with WinSCP.

This program is unbelievable, for a free program it is oh so well made. It?s fast in uploading and so simple to set up and the size is so small. And it does not even have nag messages; it?s truly free. And it does what it says on the box to perfection. This would put many commercial programs to shame and I for one am glade I found it. Nice one guys

This is a great product and very easy to use. The beauty of it is that it remembers all of the ftp servers you use along with the required passwords. You just double click on the ftp server. Then, you can just drag and drop files across.

It is a simple file uploader/downloader, small, works all the way back to Win95. Those with no FTP experience have learned how to use it easily, and it seems to to be light on resources. Perhaps not for everyone but it does what it does admirably.
Cons
None from my perspective.

The program lets you upload and download data or delete one or more files, including whole folders along with subdirectories. The program includes drag-and-drop file transfer, pop-up help, and a context sensitive menu (called up by right-clicking the mouse). Our ftp client is compatible with Proxy, Firewall, Sockets 4, 4.5, and 5. And advanced users can work in command line mode.
