On the positive side, Free Registry Fix's interface is aesthetically pleasing, well arranged, and easy to use. Most of the window's real estate is reserved for a pane that shows the sections of the Registry the application is scanning. Free Registry Fix searches for such entries as invalid application paths, broken shortcuts, and problematic ActiveX controls. You'll also find a couple of handy features, such as scheduling and backup utilities. In spite of its enticing name, however, the program isn't free and will remove only 50 entries before registration. Once it removes those 50 entries, it pops up a registration window we could close only by clicking on the Upgrade Now button. Also, in our latest round of tests, the program generated an error message, although it still seemed to work just fine. The trial restriction alone puts Free Registry Fix far down our list of favorite tools.

Pros
It won't kill you........ ?
Cons
Didn't work for me - latched itself on/into many files/drives etc. Proving very difficult to delete - Just Google it and you'll see nothing but horror stories. Someday I'll meet someone who programs Malware, ADware etc & it'll be a glorious day, perhaps I'll meet than @ 14 wall street,20th floor, new york,NY 10005!
Summary
See you soon....
The best--perhaps 2nd only to Registry First Aid.

Pros
I used this registry cleaner in XP for many years exclusively, and it never failed me. I normally do not post comments on any software, but the low ratings given by the other commentors are unjustified. (Yes, I acknowledge that the software is not FREE, in this the author of the app is guilty. Nevertheless, the app is an incredible tool, for what it is--a registry backup, cleaner, and a way to monitor registry changes.) It is unfortunate that the author has not published a new version to cover WINDOWS 7 (32-bit and 64-bit), given that Registry Fix kept my XP OS installation humming. The other very positive aspect of the tool is that it worked FAST--thus the reason I selected Registry Fix over Registry First Aid. People who look into registry cleaners do indeed get duped into thinking that simply clicking on the 'FIX' button will make their PC run like new. I've got new for you--NO registry cleaner can do such--such utilities are for the informed, period.
Cons
> Presently, no version for WINDOWS 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) exists, thus I am forced to return to Registry First Aid (an excellent registry cleaner, and one I recommend over Registry Mechanic). > The window cannot be resized--a small inconvenience, given the purpose of the utility.
Summary
Registry Fix is the fastest registry cleaner out there, and it performs admirably, especially given it's small use of resources. Unfortunately, development stopped with XP (no WINDOWS 7 versions). I recommend Registry First Aid above all other existing registry cleaners (and it covers WINDOWS 7 [32-bit and 64-bit]).

Pros
Software appears to be very User friendly
Cons
Initial upgrade Fails to work on problems tech support had to upgrade 3 time Refund process is impossible long wait on Tech support Tech support thinks delete and run is total solution
Summary
FreeRegistyFix Up front seems like a great product. easy to use but after registration you find you need to use thier live chat to get a real copy of the software. that the tech will run twice to show you that there are no additional problems Until you are out of the chat and find that your computer is running slower and less stable than befor at which time you have to go back into live chat to get bumped to a remote desktop tech who will Install yet another copy of the software and go threw and delete many files which had nothing to do with system stability and turn a 7 min xp boot into a 40 min time befor you can even load a browser to get back to tech support to another tech that just wants to install a new copy of the software and reboot again at which point I manually undid all changes made by previouse Tech and Requested a refund. which took a unreal amount of time to figure out their process and fill in their forms to get a msg I would be contacted with in 48 to 72 hours. I waited several days and heard nothing at which point I tryed to resubmit a refund request and was told only one request per customer I then sent an Email to their tech and sales support to get a return email stateing to use the tech support chat to fix my problems. tried one more time, tech was unable to fix the problem sent a new email requesting a refund again to hear nothing. I feel that FREEREGISTRYFIX is a SCAM their software does nothing and their web sight has little information to contact the company for anything more than giving them money and using their "live chat and tech support" which by buying the software you are allowed one FREE use of. I would not recommend this to anyone and Until I hear from the company about the status of my refund Which should have been made by Early January at the latest I am I will be posting Nagative reviews every place I can on the web. The software is Inexspensive and the Money is not an issue it is the principle if you say it works it better work and if you offer a money back Guarantee stand behind it. dont make your process so hard to go threw you customers just eventialy go away
Only 100 items repaired then buy to fix the rest
MusicMinsterJanuary 30, 2011
Pros
nice colors in the control box
Cons
they data mine your information...fix 100 items so they say, then look for the payoff for the rest, you even have to escape their upgrade now box. I would like to see someone run their program with a out of the box computer and see what comes up.
Summary
I would suggest avoiding this software, when they start the relationship by lying to you, honestly how do you think the rest will be? Be Blessed in you search for the proper programs, and watch for wolves in cheap (I know sheep) clothing.
This product is NOT Free as they claim.
justareviewJanuary 5, 2011
Pros
It found a lot of errors, it claimed.
Cons
The site said: "Absolutely Free." It's not.
Summary
The site said "Absolutely Free." I thought, ok, I'll try it. If it works, I'll upgrade to keep them going. It scanned like crazy, fixed only a very minimal amount and then stated I had to pay to get the rest fixed. THAT DOES NOT MEAN FREE! Would have been glad to upgrade and pay if they didn't lie. Then, I got continual popups on my computer telling me to pay to upgrade or my system would likely crash. Gimme a break!
