• Saved my corrupt profile!

  Worked first try Correctly updated app store links, whatever they are Minimal work to restore corrupt profile

  Instructions difficult for layperson or even somewhat pc literate person to follow.

  Summary

  I'm writing this review in case some poor soul has the same profile problem that I recently had. My Windows 10 PC main account profile developed a strange issue where everything would work fine until any program connected to the internet. I spent over a week of very late nights trying to fix it. I tried restoring my pc from archives as far back as three weeks before the problem appeared. Logically, restoring a disk image of my OS drive should have fixed it, but this wasn't a logical problem. I noticed the other profile on the PC didn't have the problem so figured there must have been some latent problem in my main profile. I tried the methods of copying a profile that I found on Google (which was to basically copy the files in the profile minus DAT files to a new folder) but none of my programs worked they way they did with my old profile, and I still had to remember years of setting things up the way I was used to (windows and each app). I made a "hail Mary pass" by downloading the free version of Forensit profile wizard. After 15 minutes my copied profile worked properly! I still had to set up my email, some default apps, re-activate Sonar, etc. but overall very painless. Thanks!

  Worked like a charm on Win 7 desktop... Good thing too as it was wife's machine

  No cons apparent, doing some desktop testing, everything except sidebar and Outlook password appears to have been transferred to the new domain account

  Summary

  Slick, smooth and free..... Will check into the corporate version for my toolkit

  It launched....thats about it.

  I went step by step through the app, told it to move create new domain account, transfer settings and not delete the old account. Well when I executed this, it deleted the original profile, did not move any my docs over and worst of all there is absolutely no trace of the outlook .ost or pst file. I asked for a refund after trying this on one machine and received the following reply. "Hi Chris, User Profile Wizard has been used to migrate hundreds of thousands of machines over many years. The software has been tried and tested in some of the world's largest corporations and organizations, some of whom have individually migrated tens of thousands of workstations. We are extremely proud of the reliability and functionality of our software. If you have a problem, or are unclear on how to use User Profile Wizard, you should contact us." I received a nice F-U, you are an idiot email and screw your refund..... beware pf product. I found it easier to do everything manually after this.

  Summary

  used on windows7 to migrate a local profile for a newly joined domain profile, just logged into a different profile than either and ran wizard, done in 30 secs. migration looks great, thanks!
