This simple executable is designed to search for fonts that are not defaults for Windows XP, but it's marred by programmatic errors. FontOpt sports a basic interface. Click Scan, and it quickly searches your font directory and displays the number of fonts, including the number that are excessive or invalid. Unfortunately, after the scan, things break down. The executable doesn't allow you to delete the invalid fonts, and when you try to click the Optimize button, a runtime error appears and the executable closes. FontOpt has great potential, but it seems like it's still in its prototype stage. Despite its free price, we can't currently recommend it.
Check the font directory for fonts not included in Windows XP.This is a program that will scan the font directory (C:\Windows\Fonts) for font's that were not included by default with Windows XP (SP2). Version 1.1.8 has updated interface(s), added select/unselect all option, fixed all known runtime errors, and updates icons.
