  Hi there please do not make the mistake i had done and buy this useless software please do not waste your money and buy this rubbish software, I bought it from www.purchmarket.com. never been able to install on my pc. Wrote to technical support twice,no one bother to reply to me. I asked for a refung,they said to me i have to write to technical support for a month periods and do my utmost to fix my problem. please buy either (advanced system care or glarys utilities) lovely softwares. do not but any software from Avanquest,they are utterly useless,and do not wait if you write to technical suuport. thank you

  I purchased this, and now I get pop ups trying to sell me their other products. Its so incredibly stupid they would make me pay AND watch their annoying ads that pop up while im busy working.

• Review of Fix-It: Latest and greatest version 12

  Pros

  Since version 10 is long gone and I have a 5 year history with this utility my review is on the latest version of Avanquest Fix-it Professional version 12. I never had a problem with version 7 through 11. Fix-It is a well organized Utility program. A complete package of programs for fixing and repairing operating and system errors. A decent AV and Anti-Maleware program and a fairly priced set of utilities.

  Cons

  Assumes to make decisions for what is best for you. Not unlike most programs on the market. Memory Optimizer. Just don't use it. Startup Commander does not work on my version of XP3 and Vista2 worked ok on Win 7. Stll buggy on some installs and updated patch caused some issues.

  Summary

  My opinion is Fix-it 12 isn't for everyone. I have used this program for 5 years with a new version every year and for the most part the program has done a good job repairing system issues. It really is a very complete set of utilities. Speaking from experience no utility program is perfect. Version 12 can be tasking at times and frustrating for the novice user. The program assumes the default settings are best for every user that isn't always the case. I had to tweak several settings to make it behave the way I wanted it to. Does a good job on registry repairs, defraging, program optimizing,file cleaning, and backing up files. In my opinion, I think for users that just want a plug and play utility this program may not be for you. For people who like to get under the hood and fix stuff this is a good program.

  it mess up my laptop, it won't close from taskbar and it have big conflict with my internet security because of it try to block my internet security firewll and have system restore using Windows original bootable disc and also hang a lot with my desktop wallpaper is disable.

  don't try it useless it make your pc hang about 1 hour

  Very complicated to use, because you should not let the software tell you what to do. It's very easy to destroy registerkeys and files your computer needs. If you know what you're doing this software are OK, in other case - beware!

  Summary

  If you use this kind of software in a wrong way, you have to do a full reinstall of your computer.

• Fix it could not fix anything, what a rip off

  Pros

  Got this to see if I could recover photos that got deleted off an SD card. I went on like and found a program that worked, but wanted $39 so opted for this version for $30 at Walmart, figuring I could return it if it did not work... it did not work. Only photos it could recover were the ones in the trash bin and i could get those with a right click on my own...

  Cons

  Deletes your security system without asking and most of what it does is stuff you can do on your own by going to internet options and clicking tools. I can defragment and delete unused files on my own and use free software to protect against viruses. All I wanted was a cheap alternative to retrieve deleted files and it did not work for that at all...

  Summary

  When it did not work and took forever to run a scan, I checked on line to see if it was as wonderful as it claimed to be. after reading all the negative comments, I deleted it off the computer. I think those five star reviews must come from customers, but this was a total rip off!

  very wide diagnostic and fixing tools.before fixing it describes the problem and you CAN CHOOSE NOT TO FIX IT[for those who complain about messing or destroying their drives]. it is also asks you if you want to back up so you can restore so it is SAFE.

  Cons

  the installation took an about 20 min including a reboot:too long. can operate only one tool at a time,not like others.

  Summary

  the most comprehensive tool i have met.

  Spent a total of 8 hours trying to get this program to run and all it did was messed up everything. Now I have to send it to the company and try to get my money back. This program is not worth the time and money. Sam

• Best I've ever tried or used

  Pros

  Has kept my computer squeaky clean for over a year since I've learned how to use it properly.Does everything it says plus. It stops everything in it's tracks if set to run at proper intervals.I trust this company with the health of my computers.Great support & deals. Would not use anything but this program. No I'm not affiliated or work for them. just a very satisfied customer.

  None other than this program is a bit complex and takes some time to learn and set up properly but well worth the effort. Still learning.

  installed. Luckily, ununstalled. Which fixed what appeared to be a total fail

  Cons

  the app seemed to erase entire hard drive, OS, programs, files and all. But control panel showed this not to be true, thank god. Uninstall reversed the problem.

  A $40 virus.
