This wee application offers quick access to frequently-used folders from an icon in the system tray, although it's missing the hot-key support found in comparable programs. FastFolder's utilitarian interface is easily accessed via its system-tray icon and makes specific folders accessible with one or two clicks. Adding a shortcut for your favorite folder is a snap: just browse the target folder directly from the program's tree view list, specify a name, and set the folder path. As a result, you can bypass Windows Explorer and quickly access them from the tray icon. The right-click menu also gives you access to common Windows' system folders and drives. However, even quicker access would be possible if the program supported hot-key shortcuts, but considering FastFolders's freeware status, we can easily forgive this minor oversight. This time-saving app can be used by any user looking for a way to manage and access favorite folders.

Great tool for folder shortcuts, but...

Pros
Adding shortcuts to commonly used folders is pretty simple, and very useful. I really am glad I found this, since I do a lot of drive surfing. This is so very convenient, everyone should have something similar and I rate this along the lines of one of those useful tools that people say should come standard with PC's.
Cons
The only flaw is that the menu with the folders is kind of clogged up with other options you won't be using very often at all. Let's see, we have the options:<p>1. Close Program<p>2. Read Me<p>3. About<p>4. Enter Registration Code<p>5. Configuration<p>6. Refresh Menu<p>7. Explore Mode<p>8. Normal Mode<p>9. System Folders<p>---My Computer<p>---Control Panel<p>---Dialup Networking<p>---Printers<p>---Recycle Bin<p>10. Drives A-M<p>---(Long list of drives; A-M, of course)<p>11. Drives N-Z<p>---(Long list of drives N-Z (most of us don't have more than a few drives, let alone 26 of them)<p>And this is where your personally added folder shortcuts list begins (Which has 12 free spaces to add your folder shortcuts, and all 12 are displayed on the list, even if you don't have all of them pointing towards folders).<p>That's a lot for a menu. At least 8 of those 11 should be excluded, as they do nothing but take up space on an already long menu and possibly be a distraction from your personal list. Don't ask me why I put so much thought into this, I guess a useful tool like this should be thought about...?

FastFolder is a background program which allows quick access to any of twelve selectable folders from the system tray. It provides an easy way to navigate directories. The code in the program is designed to use minimum system resources and is very stable. There are nno registry changes or secret files made. FastFolder contains no Spyware or AdWare, and is totally non-intrusive.
