Nothing to write home about, Easy Calendar is a relatively simple alternative to Outlook's datebook. The calendar and reminder utilities are presented through a rather dull interface cluttered with buttons. The tray icon only serves to pop up the main window. We did like the Day and Week views, as well as the fact you can spread the description of an event across days on a single line instead of repeating the description for each day. Easy Calendar doesn't have a large footprint on system memory, but 5MB still seems greedy for a program that primarily runs in the background. There's no reason for Outlook users to switch to Easy Calendar, and others are likely to find better alternatives.

What’s new in version 3.6

Version 3.6 prints an image at the top of a calendar month, integrates the reminder table into the calendar program, and is now freeware.

Have been looking for this for years. Fast, easy on resources, simple, scheduling can be done lightning fast. Totally free.

I totally despise those planning/scheduling/organizing programs, which make me fill out a separate form each time I need to enter a single schedule or to do irem. Sorry, I can not afford to hire a person to do all the planning of my future activities. And doing it myself, I don't want to spend an hour or more every day on planning, because I want a planner/scheduler to save me time, not to expend more of it. In this program I can enter any activity or appointment right in any calendar view, which are monthly, weekly or daily and its there, accessible from all views. I like the customization options - I can set fonts, colors, etc. Reminders are there also. It really helps me to be more organized, efficient and takes only a few minutes of my time each day.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Sep 4, 2014<p/>Simple, effective, wonderful! Can be minimized and maximized to full screen. Three views: monthly, weekly, daily. Everything can be typed straight from any view into any day of the calendar - no forms to open and fill out for each entry.
