Easy Address Book is exactly that, an easy-to-use address book for your computer. You can use it to store your contacts and send messages from your usual e-mail client with a few quick clicks. There's also a password protection option that can secure your personal information in all or part of the address book.

Easy Address Book has a bare-bones interface, but it's easy to use and performs its intended function well. Advanced and novice computer users alike will have no problem using this program. Adding contacts is as easy as filling out a form with a new contact's name, phone number, e-mail address, and street address. We filled out the form, pressed the "Add New" button and our new contact was added; simple as that. If you want to change or update any of the information for your contacts, you can do so by clicking on the contact and then the "Update" button. You can also send e-mail to your contacts from the Easy Address Book interface. If you click on your contact and then click on "Send," your default mail client will open with the "To" field filled in with the contact's e-mail address.

Easy Address Book is easy to use, and it has a good Help file if you need assistance. This program installs and uninstalls with no problems. Easy Address Book is free. This program is a good address book solution, and would be handy for users who want to store their contacts' information in a simple database.

What’s new in version 3.02

Fixed a bug that didn't allow users to have zero records in the Address Book.

I tried the custom install, unchecking all the options available. I only wanted the addr book, after all. My browser was not only hijacked, I wasn't able to load it and neither Avast, Spybot S&D nor Windows Firewall were able to protect me from it. I had to use them to get what files I could. Delete what I could from Win Ctl Panel AND do a complete Restore to a date/time previous to this app install. And I never got the app.
Summary
Don't even try to download it. I'm not going to trust CNET's suggestions. I've trusted them since 1995, when they were a print 'zine (PC World) but not any more.

Why are you continually providing download links for software that you know I already have - as evidenced by the comment for me to download the software "again"? You are wasting my time and the time of others. Hundreds? Thousands? Tens of thousands?

It's intuitive and easy to inatall and use.

VERY limited. I have up to 3 phone numbers for some contacts, as well as 2 email addresses. Don't want to make multiple entries for one contact just to get all info on them.

I generally believe less is more. I like simple but certain minimum elements are needed and this doesn't have them. Very disappointed that cnet would rate this so highly. Are they getting paid off? Makes no sense. My trust in cnet has been seriously eroded.
