Editors’ Review
Double Safety provides users with an opportunity to back up important files quickly and easily. With a simple walkthrough menu, plus more complex options, this may be the backup program that meets the needs of all users.
This program takes users directly to the Startup Wizard, which is a great place for novice users to begin and cuts right to the chase for experts who have been backing up files for years. From the get-go, Double Safety helps users find the files they wish to backup and explains what is happening with them. Simple menus allow users to decide whether to store files on the hard drive, burn to a CD or store on a FTP server. In addition, users also can schedule regular backups from the initial menu.
This initial menu sets Double Safety apart from other backup programs. This simple list of options ensures that even the newest users can see their files being backed up and grow confident they did the right thing. Where it differs from other programs are its more technical aspects, such as encryption and compression level, which are available after the Wizard has finished. This eliminates confusion for novice users, but allows experts to customize their files.
Double Safety makes the sometimes confusing job of backing up files simple enough for anybody to accomplish but gives flexibility for users with deep understanding of the process. This is a great option for all level of users.
