• Solid program. Served me well for 3 or 4 years.

  Pros

  It does what it says on the packet: it will block your access to distracting computer programs. I mainly use it to block web browsing and email (but also iTunes, video software)

  Cons

  * Could have more functionality, like a blocked time of each day. * Forces programs to close in a relatively brutal way. I worry this could compromise the software in the longer term. * Software isn't being updated: it's been version 2.3 for ages.

  Summary

  It's saved my life and made me productive and happy. Seriously. I love it. I recommend it to all of my friends.

  Pros

  Simple and easy program to stop me from spending too much time playing games and the like.

  Cons

  Can't use the task manager while program runs. I miss being able to set particular time periods where use is blocked rather than from now on until some specified time. Nag screen appears even after buying program.

  Maybe it works properly normally. But this is just to f****d up. I wanted to use the program to block a nagging message that kept on going about registrating a program that had long been removed. So I filled in the .exe file (which I could not remove) and hell broke loose. I got messages about entering some long code and that I had chosen to block the concerning program. But now these messages KEEP ON SHOWING every time I shut the message. They are STILL showing while I've removed the damned program. AAARGH WHY? I'm shure this prog works fine under different circumstances, but this is just INSANE! I HATE these messages. There worse than the ones I've had before! I don't know wether other users had this problem, but I strongly disadvise you to download, if you wan't to use it for blocking certain hidden or nagging files. Dreadfull. ]:(

  Pros

  Keeps me focused, in fact once I even forgot it was there! I have a lot of people trying to chat with me on my AIM list, and I can say no by blocking it.

  I would have liked URL blocking, but you could just block Firefox if you were'nt using the internet at all.

  Just works really well. Excellent for self control and productivity on the PC and its Free!!!!!
