Used Digital File Shredder Pro for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This utility simply and quickly shreds files, folders, and system history logs, but fails to get its own program updates. Digital File Shredder Pro's professional, drag-and-drop interface combines with a simple browse dialog to operate as you see fit. Options are well-explained and easily set. Advanced shredding tools are accessed with one-click buttons. You can even choose to add a program icon that offers one-drop desktop shredding.
The utility has two primary uses as a file shredder and system cleaner. Though related functions, each has its own handy tab of commands. The Shred Center's large window makes it easy to simply drag-and-drop files to their death. Shred level is easily set from a simple overwrite to a Department of Defense standard. With a couple of clicks you can even create and use your own shredding level. The program's numerous system cleaning tools are very helpful. Shredding your recycle bin, deleting e-mails, and freeing disk space all take merely a click each. Setting a shredding schedule option is painless, and you can invoke an option to shred your swap file on system shutdown.
One sour note, on install, Digital File Shredder Pro finds an online update, but it fails on download. Designed for all user levels, most won't need the full 15-day trial to figure out that shredding files is extremely simple and handy with this program.
