As a way of avoiding spyware and pop-ups, Torpark successfully allows you to surf the Web anonymously, although the publisher warns of possible connection slowdowns.

The self-extracting file installs quickly, and you can run it from your hard drive, or as the publisher suggests, from a jump drive. Torpark adds to your browser's toolbar a few unobtrusive buttons, which allow you to activate/deactivate the tool and configure its privacy settings according to your specifications. The tool effectively restricts pop-ups; blocks surreptitious installations of adware, spyware, and cookies; and hides any traces of your surfing. You can check the Torpark Tools menu while visiting a site and build a list of blocked items for the current page; from the same list box, you may add to a white list any or all of the displayed items.

The publisher cautions that using Torpark may slow your Internet connection speed, particularly if you're using a dial-up, but we noticed no slowdown during our tests. Torpark is free, easy to use, and suitable for all users interested in protecting their privacy while visiting Web sites.

Pros
Seemed to install okay into my FireFox browser Uninstalled easily.
Cons
Couldn't access any websites - not even its own "Start" website. Always timed-out.
Summary
Waste of time - Pleased I tried the free version first.

Works perfectly well, no problems.
Cons
It's slow, takes time to establish TOR circuit, but that's understandable.
Summary
Some newbies complaining that there's no uninstaller. There is. Just don't uncheck the checkmark during installation. You need to be patient while the program is establishing TOR circuit. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes or more to do that, but that's normal. It may have to go a few times around the world to establish a full TOR circuit.

Could not uninstall. It is not available in the uninstall programs section of the control panel. I had to do a system restore. This might be malware.

Incredibly slow; bugs the heck out of you every time you start up to switch to a "faster version for $1" and then makes that option unavailable at times. Stays resident in MY computer even when shut down. Hard to remove, even after uninstalling it.
Summary
Too much trouble to use, too slow to put up with, too hard to get shot of when uninstalling. Frankly? I didn't trust it one bit.

Made my IP look like I was in Germany! I tried to trace myself, just for fun and it never even came close to my location in CA.
Cons
Freakin slooow man! So slow some items on java and advertising pages timed out and would not load. They have an cheap offer for a speed upgrade if you wanted to use this as your primary browser- I did not do it but it was very reasonable in price.
Summary
Slow but you will be so stealthy on the net you will bust out some James Bond movies and call yourself the new 'secret surfer man'. Inexpensive upgrade option will have you surfing faster by, I assume, giving you top priority through their servers. Tested with a few trace programs that did not even come close to pinning my location. Sweet if I needed it!

It does what it says it will do. It will get you past those damn HTTP proxy guards without question.
Cons
You will often end up on a search engine site in a different country i.e. most often Germany.
Summary
I like Xb Browser, some people had problems with their Firefox but I didn't. It's easy to use and if your not in a hurry, it will do the job.
