Whether you want to destroy sensitive files for good or just need to do a bit of PC maintenance, Deletor gives you a great deal of control over the erasing process. The installation is highly customizable, letting you create a personal desktop icon that will appear only when you log in to the PC. However, Deletor won't win any design awards, as the interface is cluttered with many icons and boxes. Nevertheless, we didn't have too much of a problem figuring out how to delete folders and files. The program lets you choose folders, subfolders, and files to erase by such parameters as keyword, file extension, creation date, and modified date. The program can automatically delete empty subfolders, and you can use its file-shredder feature to make sure your documents can't be recovered later. Because of the many options it gives you for eliminating unwanted files, we think Deletor is an excellent pick for a wide range of computer users.
