This tiny utility was designed to simplify online shopping but only searches PriceGrabber.com for items matching your search term. This application, which can be found in the system tray after download, has a straightforward interface with colorful icons for easy use. Click the Add icon to input an item, and DealHound quickly retrieves and displays a list of related products and their prices. Double-clicking an item launches a browser that gives its full description on PriceGrabber. Additionally, you can refresh your search with one click. However, the lists were incomplete when compared to results on the site. Also, if you enter a term not found using this search tool, DealHound gives an error message that advises you to check your Internet connection. While online shoppers may not be completely satisfied with the results, this freeware is a simple way to compare similar items on PriceGrabber.com.

As it sits in the system tray, DealHound checks for updated prices and displays the lowest ones in a quick-access tray menu as well as a nice list view. Based on RSS and advanced Web-fetching technology, DealHound is fast and efficient, requiring less than 2MB of RAM and 1MB of disk space. With DealHound you are guaranteed not to miss a good online deal.
