Editors' Review
Daily organization is a big task for anyone. There are many computer programs aimed at helping you stay focused with several options. Daily Planner Journal offers to help get your life together, but it lacks any kind of event synchronization between its features.
This program's interface is fairly simple and will be picked up quickly by users of all skill levels. The opening screen is a wizard that allows you to jump to the Daily Planner, Daily Journal, Calendar, Address Book, and To-Do List. The planner consists of a calendar with a list along the side of times and events planned for that day. The journal is a large open space to write the day's happenings and save them. The calendar is a large view of the month with an ability to write in events for each day. The address book is a way of organizing contacts by filling in specific fields. And the to-do list lets you quickly input info in the designated fields.
While each of Daily Planner Journal's components functioned as they should, we were disappointed with the program's overall performance. We were most troubled by the fact that none of the different calendar features synced up. Events in the daily planner did not appear in the calendar and so on. The brief, 15-use trial period also left a bad taste in our mouth. For those reasons, we can't recommend this program for staying on top of important tasks.
