Editors’ Review
Besides eliminating basic privacy risks such as the browser history, cached files, and cookies, Complete Cleanup empties temporary folders, the Recycle Bin, and the list of recently opened documents. It has an option for displaying and disabling start-up files, and you can assign it to clean up any other folders and file types.
Unlike many similar programs, it can clean up automatically at regular intervals. Even better, it handles junk files currently in use by erasing them on the next reboot, which is useful in fighting spyware and adware. The interface is a jumbled mess, but it does contain hints for inexperienced users about what the program is actually deleting. We found ourselves wishing the program had a tray icon or a browser toolbar, but even novices can benefit from Complete Cleanup.
