This is a nice chord dictionary for guitar players. The application offers an easy to use interface. Everything is extremely simple: you can pick the full name of a chord form the chord list in the left part of the interface, or you can combine it by specifying the root note, extension, and a bass note, if needed. The possible voicings and the fingering appear in the right part of the interface. If you know the fingering but don t know the chord s name, use mouse to mark the fretboard so that the application could recognize the chord. You can make a list of chords by dragging them to the table under the fretboard. There s a nice feature to search for song that has a specified chord or set of chords. It would be nice if there was a possibility to play the whole progression. You can use the provided 30 days of free usage to learn some chords and to find lots of songs (the application already contains some chord files). But it s just chords: it won t learn to play arpeggios with this application nor you will be able to understand harmonic principles. Chord Miner is good for beginners or those, who don t want to go deeply in the musical theory.
