A world-class tool for network scanning, monitoring and administration. Netwatch: multiple host availability and response time monitoring; notifications (e-mail, message, sound) on host availability issues; current and historical charts for response times and percentage of lost packets; data export to XML, HTML, TXT; monitoring of TCP/IP services - monitoring the response time and lost packets, percentage for the following services: HTTP, POP3, SMTP, FTP and 50 others; monitoring of any TCP port; DNS-based host identification; automatic address checking every 10 minutes; host export/import; support for TLS/SSL protocols in alert e-mails. Network, port and service scanner: discovering the machines connected to the given network; identification of services running on discovered devices; operating verification of HTTP, POP3, MS SQL, Oracle and 50 other services; detecting open ports at the determined address. Wintools: view of launched processes and services; remote register editor and Windows event log view; HDD, RAM and CPU details; custom queries based on WMI protocol. TCP/IP workshop and SNMP browser: diagnostics of TCP and UDP services with low-tier connection; diagnosing non-standard protocols; effective view of information available via SNMP; MIB file compiler. Traceroute: geographic host map; information on subsequent hosts along the packets route, response time and lost packets; information on the geographical location (country) of a remote IP address; detection of suspicious connections. Netstat - list of inbound and outbound connections and open ports. Local info - tables with local configuration details: TCP/UDP stats. Lookup - DNS and WHOIS records. Bandwidth - network bandwidth test. Netcheck - LAN hardware and wiring quality check. Axence netTools is freeware. A short registration process is all you need to do to be fully eligible to use it, even for commercial purposes. Languages: English, German, Polish, Spanish.

graphical interface for many windows cmds

not as functional as xnetstat
Summary
I was told to get this as an alternative to xnetstat which I didn't want to pay for at that time. Nothing like it, nothing more than basic cmd procedures built into windows already

Pros
I had faults with internal house setup, by using this software I was able to try various solutions and check for improvements. Because it's graphical it's easier to understand and see the differences.
Cons
Unfortunately there is no logging. You can quit the program restart it and your previous session data will be there but if you close down your computer you will lose your past sessions.
Summary
NetTools is now part of my toolkit Toolbox.
It's insane to give this perfect program away for free!

No logging. Collected information can only be exported to an image file, which is pointless.

Pros
This tools were easy to setup and intergrated easily as an administratior on the pc.Port and network scans gave clear easy to understand results.

Pros
None at this point, since app will not run. However, did not find indication of trojan or other malware as others reported; scanned install exe with AVG, Malwarebytes and a-Squared-3.
Cons
Installed on Vista Home Premium SP1. As stated, crashes when attempt to run, even when run as administrator. Have sent email request for help to Axence support. Will post again after receive response.

False. Does NOT do what it claims to do and I have given it plenty of chances. Support is not very freindly either and pretty hostile. Perhaps this is because you haven't paid for it, so they can afford to be ignorant.

Nice interface. Has lots of great tools.
Cons
Minor issues: Sometimes can't "connect" to "RPC" when trying to view the local PC running processes etc. Then Axence "Netmon" uses more than 90% CPU. Netstat tool would benefit from having bitrate/volume of data for each network process. Traceroute tool would benefit from having time graph of when packet loss and high RTT occurred.
