Developer’s Description

Practice Arabic handwriting.
The ultimate goal of this product is to help the user learn how to write in Arabic. This product allows the user to choose one of two main levels: 1. Training Phase: Here the user has a dotted background image of the letter to follow, with two panels one to demonstrate and another to practice. Besides the user may adapt the letter handwriting demo speed and the accuracy of his handwriting which he actually targets. 2. Assessment Phase: Here the user does not have a background image to guide him, instead he has an illustrated start point, and after he finishes he may ask for an assessment that will give him a final grade. Each of these two levels has the following sub-options of writing Arabic letters: 1. The single form. 2. Connected form (within whole words). 3. Whole Sentences. 4. Free Text (only for Assessment Phase). Two pen-strokes are available in both phases: thick and thin. The program also has the ability to save, view, delete and even send the drawn images to the company's e-mail. The special thing about this program is the ability to assess the free handwriting without being restricted to a background image, instead, it assesses the user performance using a correlation measure between his drawn handwriting and the standard demo (which is a one of the most advanced image processing techniques).
