Editors’ Review
While its presentation is dull, Application Launchpad XP effectively lets you set up shortcuts to your favorite files and programs.
The program adds a shortcut toolbar to your desktop. You can drag the bar to any side of the screen, add shortcut icons, and organize them into categories. To add shortcuts, simply browse items from the program's interface or drag and drop icons into it. We appreciate that you can add files, programs, and even Web sites to the toolbar, but unlike similar applications, folders are not supported. Application Launchpad XP doesn't automatically hide when not in use; it just stays on top of other windows, allowing quick access to your favorite items.
On the minus side, the toolbar doesn't look very snazzy, doesn't offer customization pleasantries, and comes with a stingy 14-day trial period. Even so, if you find Quick Launch too small for all the shortcuts you need, try Application Launchpad XP.
