We applaud this audio application for its versatility. ALO Audio Center provides a ripper, a burner, an editor, and a converter in one intuitive, good-looking control panel.

Our only complaint with the interface was its inconsistency: it devotes two main icons to functions that transform RM files to MP3 and vice versa, while other conversion tasks take place in a separate window. We'd prefer a more integrated approach. Still, the conversion tools work just fine and support a large number of formats. The editor, with its effects and filters, displays a large view of the waveform and shouldn't confuse most users.

The CD-ripping utility works fine with all formats and can now retrieve track information from the Web. ALO Audio Center's performance has greatly improved since previous versions, and we think this package will please users who are looking for versatility without complexity.

RM to MP3 Conversion Doesn't Work

None. Could not use it for the purpose I wanted it for.

Any attempt to try a RM to MP3 conversion results in an error - "Unsupported MP3 Options" - it doesn't give you any kind of a clue as to what options are supported. There is no help functionality. <p> <p>It is also not possible to edit the RM file either - the Audio File Editor does not support it. <p> <p>As such a waste of time for me entirely.
