  Pros

  I was looking for something simple that would allow me to record streaming audio. Alive WMA is a light program, does quality recording. You can preset recording times and edit your clips. You can also record into other formats (wma, for instance).

  Cons

  The time scheduling feature works only in absolute time: there is no relative time setting option -- which simply means you have do a bit of calculation if you want to record, say, a 2hr13min program. <p>The help files are very schematic, but the program is simple enough that you shouldn't need any.

  Pros

  This product can convert from WMV to MP3, which is very useful.

  Cons

  This product adds annoying "pop" sounds to many WMV files. I contacted support, and they claim there is no problem. They're wrong. Also, I cannot set bit rate, frequency, or the number of channels when in command-line mode.

  Sound that was recorded sounded like I was listening to it through a radio station with hardly any signal.Buzzy sound.A must for making your own radio station :p
