• Wouldn't start but then immediately crash

  Pros

  None that I was able to find because the program wouldn't stay up and running at all.

  Cons

  Every time I would start the program it would appear, then I would start to enter information for the website and then the it would crash

  Summary

  Wouldn't run at all. Advanced Network Monitor would start up, appear on the screen, then disappear and then would crash.

  Pros

  Non found since it crashes before I can use it though offering an option to run as a service got my hopes up

  Cons

  Requires a serial with no indication of where to get it. No maker website. On startup it closed and vanished leaving the PC intermittently unresponsive. Reboot needed to clear the issue. The maker spells "Codes" "Codz", never a good sign.

  Summary

  The screen shot looked good and a "run as service" option was exactly what I was looking for but it is clearly flaky and with no sign that it will ever be maintained.

  I've tried the serial STD-something, the installation worked just fine... but when the program start, the window "Add New Watch Item" is shown, then suddently it close. When i pass my mouse over the icon in the tray bar, it dissappear, just like if the application crashed. <p> <p>Tottally crappy...

  Pros

  Great accurate software but microcodz.com doesn't exist anymore. I found a full version serial: STD-5810D430507380861C766155-0C3C, but hope it's the serial that makes software last forever, and not one of those serials you gotta renew.

  The version posted here requires a 'user key'. Only, it doesn't tell you where to go for a user key. After some creative searching on the internet, I found another version that doesn't require a user key. Only, that version is the typical 'bait and switch'... Urg...

  Nice wizard to setup domains and ips to be checked, does different protocols and ports.

  Cons

  Installer says serial is available from website, but no link. I eventually found TRY-267029800010905D1C406EFA-0B38 which works as serial.

  Pros

  It does what it says it does. I prefer to use this software vs. IPSentry and it's $99 price tag. Very Nice Interface and user friendly.

  Cons

  I read the failures other users have experienced....I haven't seen that yet. If I see that, I'll resubmit my review.

  I have no idea, I couldn't get it to install (see below).

  Cons

  The installer asks you for a serial number, and states that a serial number is available for free from their website. However, the installer doesn't tell you what their URL is (I had to come back here to find it) and once I found that, I couldn't find anywhere on their website to get a serial number short of emailing their tech support, which I chose not to do. YMMV

  Pros

  Works Great does exactly what is says it can do! Even lets you test ports.

  Cons

  I was using this to monitor an off site mail server, it went down I never got the alert, instead I got a message telling me I had to register (purchase) if I wanted to continue to get alerts. On a side note the "Register" goes to a dead link.
