Since Advanced ETL Processor Pro is a codeless most of the tasks performed without writing a single line of code. Advanced ETL Processor Pro is designed to automate complex business processes. Typical usage of it would be extract data from Excel File, Validate Date Formats, Sort data, reduplicate it and load it into the database, run stored procedure or Sql script. Once transformation is completed send email to the administrator. Every package execution is logged, If something went wrong Advanced ETL Processor Pro writes detailed message into the log and adds a line into rejected records file.

great value in an ETL tool

Pros
best value in an ETL tool quick and helpful support fast bulk database loads multiple connectors easy to learn supports more complicated transformations than many competing tools
Cons
documentation is pretty basic does not perform heterogenous joins between different data sources (lookups are a work around)
Summary
I use Advanced ETL Processor to load data into our Oracle reporting/warehouse environment from MySql and SalesForce. It is capable of loading millions of records in a reasonable amount of time. I also use it to perform SalesForce updates and to load new sales tax reference data into Microsoft Dynamics AX running on SQL Server. I've used multiple integration products in the past including Business Objects Data Integrator, Scribe, Informatica for SalesForce, and Jitterbit for SalesForce. I've also written a custom integration app for SalesForce using C++/.Net. Advanced ETL Processor represents the best value solution that I could find and it sure beats writing a custom integration using C++ !

easier to learn compared to MB/MQ or SSIS ready to use common components such as zip, ftp, loops really fast file processing - millions of records can be processed in minutes powerful execution engine for repeated/scheduled tasks/packages powerful scripting support with extensive library of functions easy to use/build on transformation model - reader, validator, transformation, writer great quality product support, feedback solid feature requests turnaround and bug fixes are timely and of great quality version control of nearly all objects
Cons
scripting language is pascal, but once you understand the syntax, its easy to learn documentation pdf is extensive but was not immediately helpful videos tutorials may be more useful than the interactive (press next) tutorial model practical case study solutions may be more useful to a developer - ie you have zip files on a sftp server, each zip file contains n text files with pipe delimited, how to download, validate zip, unzip, parse, validate text records, split records, log errors to sql, log data to tables using stored procedures, of course the scenarios all vary but seeing a few scenarios in action, will give developer ideas
Summary
all in all , a very powerful and useful product, that saves a lot of time, i cannot imagine using SSIS or .NET custom coding to do the same work that can now be done in hours and not days or weeks.

1. Friendly user interface 2. Fast help from a knowledgeable team 3. Affordable for both, support/maintenance and license 4. easy to install and use 5. So far, it is capable of doing everything I need to get done, and I have a lot of complex projects 6. One of the best tool I have used, it is truly making my job a lot easier the list goes on
Cons
I would agree with D. Brown regarding the documentation but it is hardly an issue when you have a good support team with fast response.
Summary
Before purchasing this product I did a search looking for an ETL that is affordable and powerful. While there are plenty of powerful ETL tool, most of them cost $1000s so I'm happy I found this amazing tool that is affordable. During the trial period, I received the same excellent support that I do as I paying user. They were able to resolve all of my issues so that I can continue my work. This tool opened up the door for us and made complex task so easy to do. With this tool, we produce more and work less so if you are in the market for an ETL tool, look no further.

1. Documentation needs some updating because of the constant evolution and growth of the way the product can be utilized But any questions to the Support have typically been responded to within 24 hours.
Summary
I am working multiple types of legacy data including Access, Excel, .CSV, to Transform it into Useful data in our New Oracle CRM/ERP products and this tool is not only intuitive for a new user like myself but also comes backed by one of the most OUTSTANDING Customer Service Teams I have ever had the pleasure of working with for the last 22 years in my position.
