• Trial...then...Error

  I thought the old expression was "Trial and error", but the today's version, as demonstrated here, is more like "Trial...then error". The trial version works just enough to tease you to buy the program, but then after you buy the program, well, that's when the fun starts: No Ads are caught. Instead, you keep writing their "support" and, if they get back to you, they write things like "We see only one solution of the given problem: reinstall your operational system." Yep, that's actually what the seller said. It looks like the Ad companies are benefiting from this software because it takes screenshots of your activity (like Spyware). Don't make the mistake we made. Buyer beware!!

  Blocked ads liked advertized.

  While it did its job of blocking ads, it caused my EI 7 to crash and/or freeze up repeatedly. <p> <p>Their web page also doesn't work, links to online payment come up not found a lot of it is under construction. <p> <p>Seems to me like a garage project that has potential but it is not ready for prime time yet. <p> <p>Also, as to having to pay for it. I'm not a communist. Unlike many in the online community, I am quite willing to pay to use someone else's work as long as that work is of corresponding quality. <p> <p>Unfortunately, this program isn't.

  The cleaner of ads and pop-ups is effective.

  Cons

  I'll continue using if this software is free. But unfortunately it cost money. When you're running with IE's pop-up blocker, it caused some problem. So disable pop-up blocker in IE to use this. Not really recommended to download this.

  I've tried numerous advertising deleting programs, and I must say that AdsCleaner is the most effective of them all. Also, it doesn't just make an ad white, but also shrinks the page (which is totally cool). Other features, such as pop-up blocker and whole bunch of other cool tools also add a lot to the value, and do their job effectively. I did, however, find the installation and registration processes somewhat problematic (I had to email for support several times until they fixed the problem). Also, I initially had problems with ad blocking, but then I singlehandedly (the support team had no clue) discovered the problem: If you have Windows XP sp2, DISABLE internet explorer built in pop-up blocker! It might save you days of frustration... Well, I'm glad if finally works for me!
