C-NET editors, did you bother to try anything like what was done below?? I installed the free version on my machine. It claimed that it had assigned a new IP address, and that my IP traffic was now routed through some other ISP. Then I tried "Shields Up" at grc.com. Shields UP correctly identified my real ISP and my real IP address. If Shields Up can determine that, any web site can - which means that I could still be tracked even though this was claiming that I could not be tracked. I then tried a trace route. It was identical to a machine not on a VPN. Perhaps this was something unique to my installation, however, IMHO, the bottom line is this software is complete junk. I suspect that the paid version does no better. I suggest that you avoid it like the plague.

There are none in my experience.

There are two problems with this software. It is stated that the pro version costs $3 (2 Euros), however the when I purchased it the company set up a recurring payment of 2E a month which I had to cancel! Also the software didn't work - I couldn't open Internet Explorer or Google Chrome when I was connect to the IP hider. I have deleted it and put down the loss of 2 Euros down to experience. I shall be going back to Easy Hide IP. Never had a moments worry with them. (The only reason I considered changing is that I now have a laptop in addition to my PC and the cost for the 2 computers is around $40. Still, at least the cost is up front and it works.)

I was playing with many of the VPN like solutions. For most of them to get anonymous browse I was asked to pay some money, here is only for getting specific IP and cost only 2 EUR

It's easier than many OpenSource and paid versions of VPN solutions. This one brings new features that were lacking in other programs like ability of using selected IP in different countries for only 2 USD
