Adr_Book is a way for users to keep a little black book of names, numbers, and addresses on their computers. For users managing contacts in e-mail or other programs, this program offers no extra benefits.

This program's interface is the simplest display an address book could have. With a design that could be 15 years old, it will not win any beauty pageants. However, it does have a simple premise that should be easy for any new user to master in minutes. By simply clicking on new entry, users are prompted to enter details such as name, address, e-mail, phone number, and even notes about the new entry. The book automatically alphabetizes each entry, which is nice but fairly standard in programs of this type.

The extras that Adr_Book throws in could be useful but seem to be missing some of the niceties found in other similar programs. Users can create printing labels, envelopes and reports with the push of a button. While this feature is nice, it does not have a print preview option, so one must be confident their item will print properly. The option to dial a phone number is confusing and unnecessary to most casual computer users.

There are a great number of programs from e-mail to personal planners that let users these same freedoms, with added options and more intuitive setup than Adr_Book. We recommend downloading and using something else before trying this primitive address book program.

Crashed on Win7 64bit - Color scheme harsh.

Has some good features, including printing an address book, labels, envelopes. Can have multiple address books.

Installed on Win 7 64-bit. Always crashed when using navigation arrows to *turn* pages. Highlight scheme hard to look at: email & phone have yellow writing on black background. Cannot change colors. Cannot *tweak* fields.

Not worth the price. More robust features in some free programs. Crashed using navigation arrows. Wouldn't be too bad if it were free & you could change the highlight color scheme.

neat and clean reminds me very much of PFS FIRST CHOICE [back in the days of dos 3.1 ] until microsoft gobbled up PFS first choice.. would recommend it greatly ... within one hour paid for the full program..

I don't know how useful this program will be if you use the freeware version- it only lets you store 30 names. I took a chance and paid for it and I really like it. I use it to print labels for my Christmas cards every year and it is very simple to use.

I purchased this program to be used in a small church...and found that it met my needs! Thank you, thank you! I really enjoyed making a pocket directory for our congregation. And the congregation was excited because they can carry the directory around with them!
