It Sees only (Windows/DOS) formatted disks/partitions

Pros
It gives the current state of the internal disk, in FAT 1 and FAT 2.
Cons
If there are raw partitions on the Harddisk, then the software does not see it. So if there is a bug within the root or Rigid Data Block (Root of the hard disk partition which makes the data "raw" it can't be solved. )
Summary
In my situation i can't use the software. Within my PC there is 6 GB not accessable because the data is raw. If RigiDataBlocks are invalid then there is no way for to salve them.

Like the other reviewers, lack of support for writing long file names is a real bummer. Less annoying but disappointing is the needs for a FAT32 partition to write to.

Whole program fit on a 1.44 Mb bootable disk. Select and copy functions worked well. Displays long file names.
Cons
Displays long file names but doesn't preserve them for copied files. Can only transfer files to floppy disks or another hard drive; support for CD writer or USB flash memory would be helpful.

if you're desperate and nothing else works.. give it a shot.

Pros
It.. starts up. And it's free. I assume it works in some cases. It also runs (only) in DOS so it doesn't require a bootable drive, which would be incredibly convenient if it found anything.
Cons
Trying to recover a corrupted hard drive (NTFS) - Downloaded this. It's hard to run and turned out to be essentially useless in my case. Jumped through hoops to run it only to be told that it couldn't read my drive at all. I got better results from basic, unregistered File Scavenger. Try some other options first.

This is an awesome program,Before this time i never tried recovering files and just formatted my drive whenver it crashed, but this time i had to.it works very well. yo ujust have to have a FAT/Fat32 drive handy.
