The program checks the actual CPU temperature and if the fan management is active, it manages the fan accordingly to the fan value. Simply execute the program, full or mini version, and act on the main window to change settings. Right click over the tray icon to setup options. Left click on the tray icon to hide/show the main window.

Conflict with the battery indicator

unknown due to it interfered with battery indicator

battery indicator, warns of low battery after installed. Note: battery is at 100% and is not in use! I uninstalled at that point!
Summary
There are bugs with this software, but what confuses me even more is the fact that it is for Acer Aspire, and that is what I have.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Apr 29, 2013<p/>For use ONLY with Acer Aspire One Note Book, this is not explained at CNET download ?
Avoid downloading, corrupts battery ACPI

None really, it is simple, but doesn't work.
Cons
Corrupts battery ACPI (need to re-install) Temperature reading seems unreliable (jumping from 50 to 100 to 7c) Adjusting the settings to, even to their most extreme, I didn't notice any effect.
Summary
Not only does it not work, it will cause problems- so avoid downloading this. When it is on battery life jumps to 100%, then as soon as you unplug the computer shuts down with 'no battery remaining'. After uninstalling I get a "no battery is detected" warning. To fix it I had to go through full re-installation of the ACPI driver. If you really need it get something like SpeedFan which is better known. I might just be a compatibility issue as this is on Windows 7, and it was designed for XP and Vista.
