Editors' Review

by   / August 22, 2013

For those users who are dissatisfied with the native image browser on their Android gadget, QuickPic's clear photo displays and sorting categories make viewing a lot smoother, quicker, and more enjoyable.

The application immediately starts up into its main menu and scans the phone for image files. These were returned comprehensively in the test device. The images are grouped in the main window by category, including camera files, instant messages, e-mail attachments, and images from other programs. Each category also has preview images to show the user which photos are in the grouping. Clicking on a grouping moves the application to an additional menu where thumbnails are displayed. Individual photos can be viewed by clicking on them, but users can also select a small icon to view the images as a slideshow. An additional menu also permits users to copy, move, and delete images, either individually or in batches. After selecting one, or several images, QuickPic also allows them to be uploaded to social media, attached to major e-mail programs, or placed in the cloud for backup. Additional features, which are not seen on many image browsers, are the ability to rotate photos, as well as move into the camera with one click.

Due to its helpful photo management features, clear menus, and great overall performance, QuickPic is a welcome addition to your Android gadget if you have lots of images to manage.

How can you tell if an Android app is safe?
