Version: vqME AntiSpam 4
Pros: They block everything and allow only my contacts and recent surfing contacts. Reverses the usual "filter" solution. If someone I don't know wants to contact me and they are a human being not a spam' generating computer, they will get through. This is brilliant. The company has given great service over the three years I've used them. When other people complain about spam' or lost messages due to filters, I remember what it was like, but this is not a problem of mine any more. Filters are so dated it's funny.
Cons: If you find one, write to me.

"The real deal for spam protection"
Pros: I've had my main email address for 10 years now, and get about 700 msgs a day, 90 percent--literally--are spam. And I've tried a number of different shareware spam products, and after the spammers adapt..all fail.
This company uses a whitelist approach, combined with a small program on your PC that watches sites that you browse--and allows that mail in as OK. Just purchase something from buy.com--no sweat--that email comes through fine.
Just send an email to some friends....if they return it with the same subject....it comes through fine as well.
A friend sends you an email...they get a challenge; old but effective technology. All combined, it works. And very well.
Cons: They've tried to make the setup process simple--and it was for me, but I suspect newer users may have a little trouble. Their support staff seems very friendly, though. When you first setup the product, it would probably help if you add frequent email users to your whitelist manually--still, 10 or 15 minutes well invested.

Version: vqME AntiSpam 4
"Clear superiority. Great support. I have tried many others"
Pros: Vanquish has a fascinating model that turns the idea of filters on its tail. The filters are tuned to admit - rather than block. At first, I thought that it would block too many legitimate mesasges. But exactly the opposite has occurred. It never intercepts what I want, and it rarely lets through what I don't want. This makes a lot of sense... I get ove 500 spam messages each day. I would rather let in 2 or 3 spams each month then miss even one in a year. With vqME, I no longer worry about missing a message that I want. In fact, I no longer check my Held Mail (the name that vqME calls their spam folder).
Cons: I wish it weren't true. But it is a tad dificult to install and configure without a geek standing by. Others in my family had no problem, so if you are slightly techie, your experience will probably be more like theirs then mine. Fortunately, the support is quick and friendly. Overall, not a serious drawback.

"Great Product; Great Support; This is the Real Deal"
Pros: Finally. a true anti-spam product that WORKS! The full-featured free trial will convince you that the PC Mag Editor's Choice was well deserved. If you don't like this program, you must be a spammer!

Version: vqME AntiSpam 4
Pros: Multiple levels of filtering; some are quite ingenious such as "Surfmatch". Very accurate filters as well! One license covers 5 email addresses and they can be kept separate using profiles (though management is done centrally so sharing with others isn't a good idea unless you really trust them with your mail). 15 day trial period of fully functional product gives you time to really test it prior to paying anything. Very affordable compared with other, weaker products.
Cons: Some latency issues - mail sometimes takes a while to get through. I sent a company newsletter out yesterday through the regular server and everyone got their copy within about a minute. Mine that is going through vqme showed up in my in-box a couple of hours later. This isn't a constant problem but it does happen. At this time I wouldn't feel comfortable using this service for very time-critical mailboxes. This is the only real problem I've seen.
