From uViewIt :uViewit is motion detection software that controls your video camera(s), web cam(s), or DV camcorder, and records all activity to your COMPUTER, transforming them into stealth video surveillance devices. Features include: motion detection, time-lapse, sound, continuous recording, and email notification. uViewIt lets you remotely access your camera(s) using an Internet browser. You can view live images, review recorded events, or video conference with friends. Version 1.8.1.1 added PTZ Baud and Address settings in Advanced menu. Can specify fractions of a minute for Time-Lapse settings. Added the ability to copy Timed-Zone mask settings to the next Zone.

"PTZ control, remote access, excellent customer service."
Pros: Controls my PTZ cameras without a separate joystick. Easy to use and understand interface with tons of recording options. I install DVR's for banks professionally and this software does most of what they do, only without the extra machinery. The PTZ control is the ONLY software control that I've found to work. And the program will accept any type of video input, tuner card, web cam, digital camcorder, etc. Finally, the support has been phenomenal. I discovered a couple of glitches which were fixed that day and they even added some features per my suggestions!! Want video surveillance? Look no further.

"Finally, I have security with confidence. This thing works!"
Pros: It installed in minutes, used my existing video capture card which only cost me $29 and my old home video camera that I don't use anymore and I was able to watch my home from work or for that matter anywhere there is an Internet connection. I like it.

"Works ok, but can't use the PTZ"
Pros: Very easy to use.
Cons: It would have been nice if I could have used the PTZ function which was greyed out entirely.
