"Excellent solution for personal email on a corporate Blackberry"

    September 28, 2008  |   By Handango User

    Version: tiggit mail

    Summary

Tiggit's tunneling capabilities allow me to use my personal email accounts (both POP and IMAP) on my "locked down" corporate Blackberry 8800. My company makes this difficult by blocking webmail. Tiggit is a superior solution anyway, even if webmail was unblocked. It is better because the Blackberry mail notifications function normally and the inboxes and navigation are superior to webmail. (I find webmail slow and awkward on the small screen.)I'm now able to carry one Blackberry instead of two. I don't have to pay for the data plan on my personal device. So, the Tiggit license fee was recouped in the first month, now I save every month. More importantly, it is so much easier to manage with all my info on one device. (I also don't look ridiculous, with a Blackberry on each hip.)I had a number of questions when first setting up the software. Mostly issues related to my company's environment. Tiggit's support was helpful and patient while I worked through it on my side (not their issue). [I'm a software developer, so I know I probably sounded like one of "those users."]Summing up, I'd highly recommend Tiggit for handling personal email on a corporate Blackberry.
