Multitrack recording and editing software with support for realtime effects through DirectX plug-ins (Reverb, Multiband Compression, Chorus, Delay, Pitch Shift, Graphic and Parametric EQ with spectrum analyze effects are included), audio and MIDI tracks, 24 bit soundcards and more. Version 5.1.1 adds Splice to Grid command, and allows to select I/O channels via popup menu.

Version: n-Track Studio 5.1.1

Pros: n-Track comes with a thousand features, compares very well with the high priced stuff, I use it in serious recording projects. Very versatile, allows you to clone tracks, apply effects easily, stereo pan, mixing board, highlight a small section or portion of an individual track and then normalize, for instance boosting a solo or chorus vocals etc. Magnifying tool allows you to really get to bitty details and polish your recording to perfection. Record individual tracks as a stereo wav or mono. Hard to imagine getting more for the money, what's Protools or Cubase got that n-track aint got??

Cons: Of course with all the features it takes a while to master and take advantage of all the options. That's not their fault, now is it?...
