Publisher's description
From ManiacTools :mp3Tag is a music tag editor for MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, MPC, AAC, FLAC, M4a files with great features, like an automated search for lyrics/pictures, Amazon&FreeDB support that powers automatic tag filling option - works great for mp3 albums that come without tags and meaningless file names, like 01.mp3, 02.mp3, etc. The program takes the track lengths and compares this information with FreeDB data to find the appropriate album to import tags from.
Version 5.0 supports WavPack .WV tags; updates lyrics patterns, and fixes some bugs.

Version: mp3Tag 5
Pros: It's worth the price to try, which is free.
Cons: It failed to properly edit WMA or MP3 information and then save it. You could see it not working, time after time, on your screen. Don't bother with it.

Version: mp3Tag 5
Pros: It quickly adds albumart, just highlight the songs and click the button. After a little learning curve, changing file names and adding tag information is easy also. Much easier to use than any other program I tried. And lyrics can be added just as easy as the album art - unregistered version only brings in 1/2 the lyrics.
Added art to about 70% of my files with a click of the button. AFter reviewing, maybe 5% of those were wrong - not bad!!
Cons: Still learning - I would like to sort by pics and/or lyrics or date last modified - I haven't found a way to do this yet.

Version: mp3Tag 5
"Different interface, but very versatile for retagging & renaming. No Problems."
Pros: I liked the ability to see & edit both V. 1 & V. 2 tags at the same time. Also, the program is very versatile in the way you can rename/edit tags & filenames, especially in comparison to many other programs I tried. I've only worked with .mp3 files, but had no problems. I haven't tried the features related to freeDB.org, amazon.com or playlists, however.
Cons: The interface is a little different than similar programs, but works. The only thing I didn't like, and its a very minor thing, is the program's format for showing a song's duration (which personally I put in both my song titles & song filenames). I.e., the program shows a song of 9 minutes 31 seconds as 000931 - I would have preferred something like 9.31 or 09.31 myself.
