CNET Editors' review
This program offers most of the necessary features for spying on other users. iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor offers two installation modes: a normal one and a stealth one that will make the program nearly invisible. Still, since the demo displays a message warning that the program is running, most users will realize they're being watched. On the plus side, we didn't manage to disable the program via the Task Manager or uninstall it without calling it out of hiding, but we still wish you could password-protect it. In terms of features iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor provides most features we look for in this type of software. It logs keystrokes and applications used, and it takes screenshots of PC activities at user-defined intervals. Of course, you can have reports e-mailed to you, or you can simply view them on your local machine. Folks seeking a functional PC-monitoring tool with good security measures might have a look at this utility.Publisher's Description
From iOpus Software:
iOpus Starr is an advanced desktop-security monitoring tool. It contains a keyboard logger so powerful, it even logs the keystrokes typed during the Windows 2000/XP login. The application is able to make its files and settings inaccessible for any Windows application (including cleaner software). It is software that stores everything (even the screenshots) in one single, 256-bit-encrypted log file using the strong U.S. government approved 256-bit AES/Rijndael encryption. Your sensitive activity data is secure against unauthorized access and use. In the stealth mode, Starr does not show up in the system tray, taskbar, or task list--not even in Windows Task Manager Processes list. For remote surveillance of networked PCs, Starr can invisibly e-mail the log file to another PC via any standard e-mail account or save the log directly to the server using any local area network (LAN).
Version 5.00.115 features unspecified improvements and bug fixes.

"Removal deleted important files, Trial not "hidden" on PC, Too $$"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Pros
Uhhhh...sorry.
Cons
This product was put on my PC as a way of finding out if they were responsible of something unethical. (Yes, the irony/hypocracy of spying, I know.) The trial version notice pops up on any account at least ever 30 minutes. MAJOR CON!! I logged the files to a hidden folder on my PC. When I removed the program it asks if I want the files deleted. I chose 'Yes' it then deleted all the files PLUS the folder above which had all my passwords. The deleted files were not in the Recycle bin. There is a $39 program that is much better. The email logs sent were cryptic, uninformative.

"Works Great for its intended use"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Summary
Definitely worth the hundred bucks - ceased game-playing and monster.com-surfing altogether at our place of business. One fired employee for 80% of their time on the web sends a strong signal! Don't listen to the whiners complain about the limited free trial - after all, what do you expect? This is a great tool.

"$100!? For WHAT!"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Summary
This is a GREAT Keylogger, but NOT if you are deciding to use it with your personal computer. First it is WAY too easy to find using even the most basic Spyware.
It you are using this for work it is GREAT at keeping people from doing what they should NOT be doing.
Lastly, there are FEW if ANY that support the POP3 And SMTP of keyloggers. So YOU WILL get kicked off or AT LEAST warned by the E-Mailing company. Not just Hotmail, Yahoo, MSN and Etc. but even some of the BEST E-Mail servers (ie. GMX.Net a German website) that Iopus actully suggests that you use.
The trial version is garbage so you NEED the Full Version and for $100.00!? But hey it's your money. Plus when upgrades come out you must purchase them, they are NOT free like they SHOULD BE! -
"Superb monitoring software"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Summary
I have the full verson of this and it does exactly what it says. It records everything done on our computer and the log file is easy to use. It saves the website urls and you can click on them to go to the actual site that was viewed. It is easy to follow chat conversations as well. This program has run cleanly on my machine and never given a hint of trouble. It is also impossible to find if you do not know the command to get access to it.

"The 30 day trial is not what it is cracked up to be"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Summary
You cannot try this software without alerting other computer users because of the nag screen. If they really want you to try it; they should let you try it without that for the 30 days.

"Trial Version"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Summary
Such a big "build up" of a product". I downloaded the trial version of this product. The pop up on the monitor kept coming up on the desktop and it would not disable. It didn't record keystrokes...it didn't do anything!! It is rather difficult to tell if the product is worth purchasing or not...This trail version is totally useless to any computer user. I definetly "would not" recommend it to anyone.

"Typical Free Try"
Version: iOpus Starr PC and Internet Monitor 5.00.115
Summary
Downloaded this software to give it a try. Add kept showing, on start-up to register. Had a line to stop it, didnt work. No good if you are trying to hide the program. Then, wouldnt log keystrokes unless you paid for the full version. It might be a good program, but I wouldnt ever buy from a company who lies... Wouldnt recommend this "free download" to anyone. What a waste of time!
