iForm is a versatile HTML form processor and email generator for your website. Form based applications such as surveys, guest books, storefronts, quizzes and mailing lists are all good jobs for iForm.

iForm can interact with external applications and generate dynamic web pages by running AppleScript scripts, as well as serve static HTML content (like forms!).

iForm's basic service messengers any form's submitted values to multiple email destinations, and into any scriptable database or application. iForm can handle multiple email attachments such as PDF, images, software archives, etc. and supports HTML formatted email content.

iForm can send mail directly using your own mail server, or via the Apple "Mail" client or any other scriptable mail client.

No web server is required because iForm is a server. Therefore you can use iForm to serve static HTML documents as well as dynamic content. iForm can be configured to run on any TCP/IP port you choose, so it can run alongside your web server, and the document root folder is settable.

Here is a basic outline of its typical operation:

• A user downloads a static (or dynamic) HTML form into her browser.
• The form is filled in and submitted. The form's action points to iForm.
• iForm extracts all the form input data.
• Using the data iForm generates a response page whose content can be partially or fully generated using AppleScript. All form input data is available as parameters to your scripts.
• iForm similarly generates email, which can be HTML formatted and include attachments as necessary.
• If errors, such as required form data is not submitted, then iForm can return an error response.

Note that response and error pages can be forms themselves.
