Publisher's description
From B&bSofware :fmMailscan allows you to extract email message data from an email client and use that data to either create new records in a database, to identify and update existing records in a database or to identify and delete records from a database. Examples of its use would be the archiving of email messages or the extraction and storage of web form data that has been routed by email.
The scanning of and extraction of data from email messages is controlled by scanning definitions. A scanning definition contains a series of settings that together describe...
- how email messages are selected
- how and from where the data is to be extracted
- how the data is to be used to maintain a FileMaker Pro database.
- whether or not a notification email is to be sent after successfully processing a message
fmMailscan has been written to specifically use the functionality of the database application Filemaker Pro. However, the application is not associated with any specific email client; it will work with any email client that is AppleScriptable.
fmMailscan is an Apple Macintosh application, it is bundled with Apple Help files that provides a comprehensive help facility.
