In comparison to other cover-creation tools, this one seems rather limited, though it is free and simple to operate. eCover's nonresizeable interface is no design masterpiece, but the large, self-explanatory icons make it tough to get lost. After selecting from CD, DVD, and Stomper templates, you can easily add front- and back-cover images and print it all up. If you want to adjust the actual size of the cover templates, hit the Edit Print Templates icon. If you don't have the cover art on your machine, eCover can retrieve it from the Web, though it wasn't always 100 succesful in doing so. We wish we knew where the program was finding its images, but since there are no help files, this remains a mystery. And although you will find an icon that supposedly lets you edit your cover, we're baffled as to what it's for, since we didn't find any actual editing tools or implements for drawing and writing. eCover will work for basic and occasional disc-cover-creation tasks, but power users should keep on looking.Publisher's Description

Version 1.0.5 adds support for proxy server, updates form with link to homepage, adds command-line argument, and also has minor fixes.

Pros
I used to have an older version that worked great, but then it quit accessing whatever database it used, and this new version reports the same error when searching for covers. Oh well, back to using cdcovers.cc and manually adjusting the image to use with the software that came with my printer.
