Version: a-squared Anti-Malware 3.0.0.34
Pros: This is a great application, but it is expensive compared to some of the other, similar programs. It has a great, user friendly GUI, a huge data base and excellent active protection. Although it's not a replacement for a quality anti virus application it is all you need as a compliment to one. It has great detection of malware, including trojans, worms, spyware and adware. It will detect and handle all of these infections without any problems. It has an option to "add to white list" for those you might consider safe, like I had to do with my download manager. This is an application worth having.
Cons: It is rather expensive but they also have a free version of the same scanner, but it doesn't have auto updates or active protection. Occasionally, it will give a false positive, but not very often. Add it to the white list and forget about it. It will not detect these things again.

Pros: i liked almost every thing about this program it isnt a resource hog, it does it job and gets it done right it has a very extensive database, and does a very deep scan of all programs drives and memory also scans browser's temp files and cookies blocks most all tracking cookies and removes them off your hard drive is a wonderfull product over all, updates mostly every single day, the full version has a great real time protection that alerted me right away when i logged onto a site that is well known for malware, it also alerts you of suspect programs running on the computer, and even notified me when a program was secretly sending sending messages over a live dsl connection one step above the 98% of other programs i have ever reviewed including " spy sweeper' " avast" " trend Micro" " Norton symantic" " mcafee" "Zone Alarm "CA Products" Lavasoft" and many many many others not one of these other big name products ever detected or notified me of this a real show of Real Time protection, Either way Im giving it a 4 star review cause of the show of real Real Time Protection and detection period
Cons: the bad i tried this thing over a few days to make sure i gave a proper review i hate it when people just download it and run it without any review of the product really, a couple of the things it says it deleted showed back up when scanned with another product and a cheap one at that, yahoo spyware scanner i mean come on !!!! if this thing picks it up but didnt remove it there is a problem even though this was the only problem found it could be a sign of some thing worse that may be behind the scenes this cant even be called a false posative cause it was detected and was a problem the program just had not removed it

"A Mastery of Simplicity and Efficiency"
Pros: This app has a great user interface, definitely is novice-friendly, and is easy to navigate. All of the settings for the program are easily customizable, while proving to be highly effective. The guards have strong protection, and the scans barely use any resources. I would highly recommend this program to anyone.
Cons: Although, as great as this product is, it comes at a price. generally, it is cheap for protection from ID theft, and having to buy a new hard drive or computer because of a nasty trojan, although it is a bit on the expensive side for this type of software. The other "catch" is that you have to register with EMSI software annually. However, this great prog is definitely worth the hassle!

"This is a very good program."
Pros: I think this is the most underrated program around. Its "real time" protection is outstanding and the auto updates are flawless and frequent. I have used A Squared for over two years and have never had an issue with it. Try it and you will really like it.
Cons: The scans can take up to an hour (depending on your drive size). The cookie monitor can be annoying but you can turn it off easily.
