ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 requires a small initial download that in turn launches a full download of the latest version of the program from Check Point. Installation requires a reboot. A helpful wizard walks you through the initial setup.
The new interface is cleaner, less complicated, and more modern. The other new features within ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 are less visible and mostly under the hood. Boot time is much faster in this latest version, as are the individual scans for antivirus (using the Kaspersky Anti-Virus engine) and antispyware (Check Point's own engine). The suite includes spam protection from SonicWall, and, of course, Check Point's award-winning firewall. The paid edition includes identity-protection coverage. Missing is antiphishing and safe-browsing protection; these are available from Check Point Force Field and not yet a part of the ZoneAlarm Internet Security suite.
ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 does include an uninstall icon in the All Programs listing, and uninstalls cleanly. But keeping the 15-day trial installed might be a better idea; if you do decide not to purchase the full program at $49, Check Point keeps the basic ZoneAlarm firewall active on your desktop.

Version: ZoneAlarm Security 8.0.298
"Avg Firewall, AV OFTEN FAIL UPDATE, user support WORST!"
Pros: A good REPUTATION from years back, NOW is FADING fast.. and there are new user interface, but little else feature-wise...
Cons: Antivirus SCAN VERY SLOW.. and yet detection not as EFFECTIVE as running in KASPERKY not to mention updating ;-( , Not much improvement nonetheless significant overall,
USER SUPPORT among the WORST EVER!!Summary: Overall Conclusion: I would've ranked Zone Alarm Security Suite the LOWEST in TOP TEN SECURITY SUITE...

Version: ZoneAlarm Security 8.0.298
"its good, but even the full version stops updating"
Pros: pretty good protection with a basic firewall setup. Easy to use.
Cons: After a while, it stops updating and that annoying little "your pc's antivirus may not be up to date" keeps popping up.
Summary: Good but not great.

Version: ZoneAlarm Security 8.0.298
"Needs luxury extras like wheels and a steering wheel"
Pros: Has a good control of program settings for the internet
Cons: No quick antivirus scan (most do have this) - so to quickly check my windows registry took over 3 hours whilst it checked all the 80GB drive. Also, when I switched to block all internet traffic it wouldn't switch back on, so had to reboot everytime.
Summary: Its an OK product for the price.
