An effective and easy-to-use firewall program, ZoneAlarm does a great job of keeping your PC safe from a variety of threats. ZoneAlarm uses a simple wizard to make configuring a firewall, which seems like a daunting task to many computer users, incredibly easy.
Maintaining and updating settings also is a snap when you're using the stylish interface and its simple slider controls. The program's Zones feature allows you to assign different security levels for a local network and for the Internet.
A great recent addition is small but quite helpful. A new "Game Mode" lets you automatically allow or deny alerts when you're in the middle of playing a video game. We found ZoneAlarm very good at recognizing and automatically including settings for our local network.
In all our tests, the firewall guarded against all external and internal threats it encountered. ZoneAlarm is an excellent firewall choice for just about any average user.

Maybe it's because I never update Zonealarm, so I never get any problems. Had it for 4 years and never updated. Works like a charm. When I first downloaded it on CNET, I remember zonealarm firewall had 5 stars from user rating. What happened to the old Zonealarm? Now it only has 3.5. Wow, Zonealarm is probably gonna go out of business soon.

If you are looking for firewall than windows firewall is much better than this application or try some other app but not this one
This application is just worth a penny or can be quite expensive if you are a PTP / BitTorrent user who wants to download Mp3, Ebooks or movies and concerned about ratios. Sometimes free lunch are quite expensive when product is available as "freeware" .
I just can't write anything more for this application as there is hardly any feature to comment for. I am going to uninstall and swithching to another app.
Bottom Line: If you are downloading anything through PTP applications then it blocks uploading it as there is no port based expert rule to open for your peers. When I asked a query in their forum I got this reply "Not possible with the free version of ZoneAlarm.Only with the paid versions you can open specific incoming ports.

Used to be a great product, no free version will interact nice with Win 7. You would think they would have had that ready to go, but are probably just trying to sell their Pro version.

Summary
1st time, tried ZoneAlarm Security Suite, I had to completely reformat my desktop. 2nd time, on the advice of someone I trust, I tried it again. After realizing my mistake in doing so, I tried to download another. Problem is, WHERE THE IS ZONE ALARM?

Summary
It relies on the user to tell it whether something is dodgy or not. What use is that? I got sick of it asking me to allow programs etc. which I'd already told it countless times to allow.

Summary
It will not install on Windows 2000. The Quick Specs say it will, but installation stops shortly after starting and I get a message saying the OS is too old.
