good product.after this update it's not consuming from cpu resources.before this always has 8% no mater what.now very rarely eat 2-4%.i now that because i see in task manager.

today i update to latest version 9.1.603 and it's not ok.
Summary
after normal instalation and restart i try to navigate but it's imposibile to open firefox+ie8 window.before to open my internet connection all works fine-browsers windows open normal-after that all freeze on my pc i can't even open task manager.so i restarted try again nothing new then another restart-shutdown firewall from icon tray-open internet connection-open ie+ff browser window normaly whitout no problem-open any page on the net-reopen zone alarm from start menu-now i can navigate whit firewall on.
i have xp sp3.also before update firewall i installed m.s. updates release on tuesday.i know a long time ago za firewall blocking internet connection because it was a conflict whit one of the m.s. update. -

I don't like the fact that after installing the full program that for some reason my laptop is so slow sometimes I feel like taking a nap waiting for Internet Explorer to load up and then once it does the commands by mouse tak even longer

I dont dislike the program it does seem to work ,I bought it because of the high rating given by you folks , Trust me I do not have a top of the line laptop ,I have one that works, And it's sad that because of People that feel they need to steal what they want we need programs like these I do like the product I dont like the people that I need it for.

Zone Alarm has always been one of the best Firewalls available, it has constantly passed all the tests, including the leak test, while some versions have had problems, Version 9.1.507 has improved greatly
Cons
Not sure why CNET is not offering the new version of Zone Alarm Pro, but it has definetly improved over the version that CNET does have available here.
ISummary
Zone Alarm, has been and continues to be the Best firewall available.
Granted, they have had problems with recent releases, but the new release of zone Alarm Pro 9.1.507 seems to have fixed all the quirky bugs that are in version 9.1.008. -

I have had no problems. It runs in the background alerting me when events occur. I am somewhat amazed @ the things going on that I cannot not see that it picks up, I feel very safe and consider it essential. Its there, but not intrusive.
Cons
Occasionally I cannot download things (adobe flash) unless I disable it, but I cannot think of anything else.
Summary
Zone Alarm is made by a trusted and good solid security software company w/many great products. I have found few firewalls that are as thorough and light 'as 'Pro'. I prefer the 'Suite' (older versions-newer one is missing a thing or two).
I was out of work for 10 mo and had to search pretty far and wide to replace all the features of 'Suite' for little or nothing. 'PRO'(firewall only) was offered by the 'Cheapskate' for free so I grabbed it and got rid of whatever I was using for firewall. It sure felt good to be home again.
Though have had a love-hate relationship w/Zone Alarm for many years, their products are exceptional and diifficult to replace, however not a fan of 'Force Field' or 'Extreme Security'. Honest forthright ppl to do business with. -

I am impressed with this version's user interface and claims and used an older Zone Alarm Pro for 2 years before this.
Cons
I tested this version on some test websites and although the pc seem reasonably protected and also the computer name, etc, the computer was never stealth or really invisible!!!
Summary
The test websites was able to reveal my full IP, location, time difference, isp provider and many other system details despite the settings being fully set to invisible mode. My guess is what kind of stealth level are we talking about?

I've had ZA Pro for three years, It makes the computer totally invisible to the outside, better than any other firewall.
Cons
Has a built in computer destroyer - tvdebug.log. The file grows like a cancer. I have to turn off the ZoneAlarm, to manually delete it every two weeks, when it grows to 10 GB (that's gigabytes, not megabytes.) Too high maintenance; others exist.
Summary
ZA has known about the tvdebug problem for more than five years, and does nothing except keep taking my money. Time to change.
