ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 requires a small initial download that in turn launches a full download of the latest version of the program from Check Point. Installation requires a reboot. A helpful wizard walks you through the initial setup.
The new interface is cleaner, less complicated, and more modern. The other new features within ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 are less visible and mostly under the hood. Boot time is much faster in this latest version, as are the individual scans for antivirus (using the Kaspersky Anti-Virus engine) and antispyware (Check Point's own engine). The suite includes spam protection from SonicWall, and, of course, Check Point's award-winning firewall. The paid edition includes identity-protection coverage. Missing is antiphishing and safe-browsing protection; these are available from Check Point Force Field and not yet a part of the ZoneAlarm Internet Security suite.
ZoneAlarm Internet Security 2009 does include an uninstall icon in the All Programs listing, and uninstalls cleanly. But keeping the 15-day trial installed might be a better idea; if you do decide not to purchase the full program at $49, Check Point keeps the basic ZoneAlarm firewall active on your desktop.

"I have used this product for 4 years with no problems"
Pros: It keeps up to date and protects from virus and easy to use firewall. I switched from Norton after many years. Norton use to interfere with a lot of installs. I have not experienced any of that with Zone Alarm
Cons: I don't have any problems with this program

"Is not so bad as you say guys"
Pros: I allways have a good protection with this product and now I feel it a little bit faster than the other versions
Cons: I do not why I think that the first three posts wants to promote another product instead talking about its properties.

"not as great as I thought it would be"
Pros: nothing positive to say
Cons: interferes with too many other programs and functions!
Summary: I used to use it years ago and it bogged down too much, but we have this at work, so I thought I'd give it another try. I'll probably move on to something else soon.

"A one stop way of freezing your pc!"
Pros: I have used Zonealarm in the past and thought it was ok, but had issues with it. Came back after a few years of using Kaspersky, and wish i hadn't, there are no pros for this program!
Cons: Zonelabs offer you PC-TUNEUP as an incentive, this program will not evemn run, so let alone purchasing a firewall that freezes firefox and bitcomet, i also parted with more cash thinking i was getting another program.
Summary: Take my advice stear well clear of this program it has brought me nothing but problems, Zonealarm, i will not be returning to use your programs again, you have taken my money for two worthless programs, both of which i have removed! I'd recommend Ka... read more >>
